25 | On 1215/21, at 2:00 PM , Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced Required Inspection the abovementioned Child Care Center (CCC). The LPA met with Adriana Rodriguez, Site Supervisor of the CCC and explained the purpose of the inspection. Upon arrival at the facility Site Supervisor informed LPA of intention to leave the CCC early given a preexisting appointment. In view of the aforementioned LPA began the inspection with a staff interview of the Site Supervisor. LPA completed the 2 of 12 questions before the Site Supervisor had to exit the CCC. Prior to exiting, Site Supervisor introduced LPA to Teacher Teresa Rosas who facilitated an interior and exterior tour of the CCC. LPA notes the CCC operates from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday. The preschool uses three classrooms for child care (Toddler Room A- ages 18 months to 3 years, Preschool Room B- ages 3 to 5 years and Preschool Room C- ages 3 to 5). LPA observed 14 children on site during the inspection along with 6 teachers providing care and supervision.
The classrooms used for child care are clean and organized. The rooms have age appropriate toys and furnishings available for children and appropriate lighting and ventilation. The CCC has carbon monoxide detectors in each classroom. A carbon monoxide detector was tested in the Toddler room at 3:35 PM and found to be operable. Each classroom has attached restrooms which were in safe and sanitary operating condition. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, sharps and medications are stored in elevated cabinets in each classroom. The locations of the aforementioned are inaccessible to children in care.
LPA observed an operable refrigerator in the CCC's kitchen which contained dated food items for children in care. The CCC's kitchen is inaccessible to children in care. The CCC provides breakfast, lunch and snacks for children in care. Likewise, water is accessible for children inside the CCC and outside in the play areas. LPA observed the CCC's menu posted along with other required licensing notices and documents.
The CCC's outdoor playground areas are enclosed by wrought iron fencing and partitioned to create an area for toddlers and preschool age children. The fences' entry/exit gates are secured and age appropriate
