Prior to inspection LPA asked screening questions related to COVID -19 and SIte Supervisor's Responses responses indicate there are no COVID-19 exposure on site.

On July 27, 2022 at 1:50pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Martina Jimenez conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with Adriana Rodriguez, Site Supervisor, the purpose of the inspection was discussed with the Ms. Rodriguez.

LPA and Ms. Rodriguez together toured inside and outside of the center. The preschool operates Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM. LPA reviewed the medication which is maintained in a locked box inaccessible to children. The classroom are clean, orderly. The appropriate documents including the menu were posted for review. The restrooms were observed to clean. The outdoor playground is enclosed with the wire fences. The walkway has a raised cement square approximately one inch from the other cement square steps in the walk way leading to the toddlers play area. The outside space has age appropriate toys and equipment. The sandbox does have an ample amount of sand. LPA observed gaps around the edging of the sandbox, as well as a large screw that is on the edge of the sandbox that is raised approximately one inch. The center has drinking water available for children inside and out.

LPA reviewed current CPR and First Aid for all present staff. Sign in/sign out was reviewed and meets the regulation requirements. A sampling of children records were reviewed, and found to be complete. The staff records were reviewed and found to be complete. Site Supervisor and Staff qualifications were verified. Teachers present have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificates that expire on 8/16/2023. Staff has complete the Mandated Reporter Training required per AB 1207. LPA verified SB 792 Child Care Adult Immunization record and tuberculosis requirements.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Site Supervisor was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.


Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Site Supervisor, Ms. Rebecca Romero. There were no deficiencies cites at this time. LPAs observed the Site Supervisor post the Notice of Site visit. FAILURE TO POST THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT FOR 30 DAYS MAY RESULT IN A $100.00 CIVIL PENALTY.
