On 12/22/22, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Francisca Velazquez conducted an unannounced One Year Required Inspection of the Family Child Care Home (FCCH). LPA met with Griselda Ramos, Licensee of the FCCH and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA notes COVID Pre-screening questions were asked of Licensee prior to the inspection. The Licensee's responses suggest the FCCH is void of COVID positive cases. At the time of the inspection, LPA observed six (6) children being cared and supervised by Licensee and assistant, Cesar Ramos.

LPA, in the company of Licensee toured the interior and exterior of the FCCH. This home is a two (2) story home with four (4) bedrooms and three (3) bathrooms. The FCCH uses the living room, kitchen/dinning area, bathroom, one (1) bedroom located on the first floor and the outdoor yard for child care services. Meanwhile, the second floor is made inaccessible by means of a baby gate located on the first step of the stair way. The garage is also made inaccessible.

The FCCH was observed to be clean and orderly. The FCCH has ventilation to afford for the children’s comfort. The FCCH was void of hazardous items. LPA observed sharps are stored on top of the refrigerator. Medication for the family is stored in an elevated cabinet in the kitchen. Cleaning compounds are stored in an elevated cabinet in the laundry room. Additionally, more cleaning compounds are in the garage and the second floor. LPA observed all areas are inaccessible to children in care. The bathroom used for childcare is clean and free of toxins. Toys, furniture, and equipment in the FCCH are age appropriate.

Required forms are predominantly posted on the entrance of the FCCH. LPA observed a smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the FCCH. The detectors were tested at and found to be operable at 11:10 AM. The FCCH has a regulation fire extinguisher on site which was purchased on 01/04/2022. LPA reminded the Licensee to either service or purchase a regulation fire extinguisher annually. The FCCH maintains working telephone services. CONT 809-C
