On January 8, 2025, at 9:16 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elizabeth George conducted an unannounced Required 3 - Year inspection at the above mentioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with Director, Yvonne Lowe, and discussed the purpose of the inspection. At the time of the inspection 16 children and 3 staff were present.

LPA in the company of the Director toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. The CCC consists of three classrooms and an outdoor play area. LPA observed required licensing forms to be posted on the wall near the entrance to the classrooms. LPA observed the classrooms to be clean and orderly. Age appropriate toys and equipment are in good condition. Director informed LPA cleaning compounds are stored on the top shelf of a bookcase. LPA observed cabinets and drawers that are not secured to be free of hazards. There are sufficient restrooms for children which LPA observed to be clean and free of hazards. LPA observed smoke detector and fire alarm which Director stated they checked regularly to ensure they are functioning. Carbon Monoxide detector was tested and found to be operable at 9:53 AM. LPA observed a regulation fire extinguisher last serviced on 9/19/24.

LPA observed the outdoor play yard to be completely surrounded by a chain link fence with sufficient space for children’s activities. The CCC provides water to children via pitchers filled with filtered water while some children bring their personal water bottles. LPA observed age appropriate equipment and play structure. LPA notes the play structure's fall zones have sufficient cushioning.

A samplings of children's files were conducted. LPA observed all children's files to be current and complete. LPA reviewed files for the staff present which were found to be current and complete as well. LPA reminded Director it is their responsibility to ensure staff files are complete and current. LPA notes all staff have current Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certificates which expire June 2025.
