25 | On January 6th, 2023, at 9:00AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Rosie Breault and Giovani Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. In addition, licensee submitted documentation for a change of capacity. As such, the change of capacity request will be addressed during the inspection. LPA met with assistant head of school Andrea Torchin, and lead teacher Joeana Jimenez and advised the purpose of the inspection. Ms. Torchin authorized Ms. Jimenez to provide the tour of the facility inside and out with LPAs. The center operates from Monday – Friday 7:45AM – 3:00PM. There were twenty-three (23) children in care at the time of the inspection, and four (4) teachers.
LPAs observed required licensing documents mounted on the wall at the entrance of the center and the menu for the month of January 2023. Center uses written sheets for sign in and out purposes. Last fire/disaster drill was conducted on December 2nd, 2022. LPAs observed the facility has a sufficient number of restrooms, toilets and urinals and sinks available for the children, which are functioning and clean. The facility is currently utilizing one classroom for care and supervision. The classroom has age appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care and offers ample ventilation. LPA observed first aid kits available for use in classroom. Children use their own water bottles which are labeled with their names. Center also provides filtered water stations. LPAs observed all cleaning compounds, disinfectants, sharps, and tools to be inaccessible to children and / or locked in a cabinet. Center provides one snack and kitchen is clean, free of rodents, and refrigerator is functioning properly.
The outdoor area has an ample amount of space for children to play with appropriate toys, sinks, filtered water and shaded areas. No bodies of water are present. No firearms or weapons are located on campus.
