On 09/17/21 at 11:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christian Patterson made an unannounced inspection to the facility for the purpose of conducting a REQUIRED 1-YEAR inspection. LPA met with Director Gina Whitefoot and explained the purpose of the inspection. The facility currently operates Monday- Friday 7:30am-5:30pm. There were 9 children present. A tour of the facility was made both inside and outside. The classroom was observed to have age appropriate furniture/equipment. Diaper changing tables were observed to be clean with adequate cushioning and within arms-length of a sink. There is a functioning smoke/carbon monoxide detector in the classroom. All required State forms and daily menu were posted. The outdoor play area is completely fenced. LPA observed age appropriate equipment outdoors. Nap area was observed to have age appropriate cribs, cots, and bedding. LPA verified that the classroom has completed Infant Needs and Services Plans for all children in care and Individual Infant Sleeping Plans for children under 12 months. LPA verified that staff is physically checking on napping infants every 15 minutes and recording the times and dates of each observation. Director stated that there are no firearms or ammunition at the facility. LPA did not observe any bodies of water at the facility. Drinking water is available inside and outside.

Teacher files reviewed and were found to be complete. Teacher's Medical Health Records were verified. At least one staff member at the facility has valid Pediatric CPR/First Aid which expires on 02/22. Center staff have completed AB1207 Mandated Reporter Training. Sign in and sign out verified and matched census. Children's files were reviewed and found to be complete.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. There were no deficiencies cited today. The LIC 9213 (Notice of Site Visit) was posted in LPA's presence.
