25 | (3) Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Melissa Stewart and Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced annual/random inspection and met with licensee, Patricia Perez. The home was toured inside and out. All required forms are posted in a prominent location. There were 7 children napping at the time of inspection. The day care area is downstairs in the dining room, garage, living room and napping room. LPA observed age appropriate toys and books. The front room and upstairs are off limits to day care children and are made inaccessible by a gate. Bathroom used by children was observed to be clean and free of toxins. The laundry room is off limits to children and made inaccessible by a latch at the top of the door. All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children. Licensee stated there are no guns or ammunition in the home.
Backyard is completely fenced. LPA observed small climbing structure, grass area and age appropriate toys. There is a storage shed which is kept locked. There are no bodies of water.
Fire extinguisher was serviced on 4/1/19. Carbon monoxide and smoke detectors were observed to be operational. Licensee completes and documents emergency drills. The most recent drill was held on 7/1/19 at 11am. Licensee's CPR and first aid is current and expires on 9/7/21. Licensee has met immunization requirement per SB 792. Children's records were randomly reviewed and found complete. Children's roster was reviewed.
