On November 2, 2022 at 11:01 AM , Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced 1 Year Required Inspection and met with Child Care Center Director,Staci Rich. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection. Prior to inspection, LPA asked pre- screening questions related to COVID -19 and Director responses indicate there are no COVID-19 exposure on site. The CCC's operating hours are from Monday to Friday, 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM.

LPA Reyes in the company of the Director Staci Rich and Lead Teacher Shantell Saucedo toured the Infant classroom and the playground. There were 6 infants and 3 staff present. Licensing required forms are posted in the wall along the hallway. The classroom was observed to be clean and organize. It has age appropriate toys and furnishings available for infant in care. LPA observed carbon monoxide and smoke detectors in the classroom. LPA observed cribs in the sectioned area of the infant room. Play yard is enclosed with the high metal fence. Outdoor surface is clean and free of hazard. LPA observed age appropriate toys and equipment. Fire drill is conducted every month, last drill was conducted on 10/21/2022.

CCC uses individual sign-in/out sheet for each child. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. LPA reviewed the Infants Need and Services. Children's files are complete and contain Emergency and Identification Card, Infants have LIC 9227 Individual Safe Sleep plan on file. Staff checks and documents the napping infant every 15 minutes.

Staff qualifications were verified, Staff took Mandated Reporter Training which expires on 10/27/2024. Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificates that expire on 03/03/2023. LPA verified SB 792 Child Care Adult Immunization record and tuberculosis requirements.

No deficiencies were cited during today's visit.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
