On June 6, 2022 at 11:10 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Rosie Breault and Frank Pedroza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPAs met with licensee Veronica Williams and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPAs a tour of the facility inside and out. There were 2 children in care.

The licensee is currently using a modified garage and backyard for children in care. Licensee has one bathroom accessible to children. LPA observed age appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible to children in care. Smoke alarm/carbon monoxide is in working order. The backyard is enclosed with a fence. LPA observed play structures readily accessible. Licensee does not have firearms and live ammunition on the property.

LPA observed the facility roster was current. A sampling of children records were reviewed and found to be current. LPA verified SB792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis requirements. Licensee has current Pediatric CPR/First-Aid. The last fire drill was completed on 5/1/2022.

During the inspection, LPAs observed the licensee had a canister of RAID on the counter accessible to children in care. Children were sleeping at the time of the inspection. Licensee was not able to provide a proof of completion for Mandated Reporter training for her and her facility assistant. Licensee and staff are required to complete the training every two (2) years. LPA's observed a fire extinguisher was mounted on the wall with a service date of June 3, 2019. Licensee are required to service or purchase a fire extinguisher yearly.
