25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Martina Jimenez conducted a case management visit and met with licensee, Erica Ramirez. Licensee requested a change of location. The home was toured inside and outside. The main day-care areas are Living room, dining room, down stairs bedroom and hallway bathroom.There is a gate at the bottom of the stairs making the upstairs bedrooms inaccessible to the children in care. The backyard is completely fenced
The fire clearance was granted on May 6, 2019. There is a functioning carbon monoxide detector and smoke alarm in the home. Licensee is current with CPR and First Aid which expires January 12, 2021. Licensee has completed the Mandated Reporter Training required per AB 1207 on March 31, 2019. LPA reviewed the handout "A Child Care Provider's Guide to Safe Sleep." LPA provided a Handout for Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Training provided on line at www.ccld.ca.gov.
LPA discussed with and gave applicant a packet of updated samples of state required forms to be kept in the children's file, required forms to be posted and forms that needs to be maintained at the FCCH. LPA also discussed and provided information about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome/Safe sleep, and Capacity requirements. Applicant was reminded that it is her responsibility to know the regulations for Family Child Care Home which can be accessed on-line at www.ccld.ca.gov. Also, Licensee was reminded that baby walkers, jumpers, bouncers, exersaucers, or any similar article are not permitted on the premises during day care hours.
The home will be Licensed once Licensee submits verification of the following:
1. Photo of the gate at the entrance to Family room and kitchen area.
2. Photos of secured Knives, medications and cleaning product
License is pending the above corrections. There were no deficiencies cites at this time. LPA observed licensee post the Notice of Site visit FAILURE TO POST THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT FOR 30 DAYS MAY RESULT IN A $100.00 CIVIL PENALTY |
