25 | On August 13, 2020 at 11:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christian Patterson conducted an announced Case Management Inspection to the facility in order to complete an Increase of Capacity Inspection. Due to COVID-19 and Department of Public Health (DPH) guidelines of social distancing, a tele-inspection will occur. LPA met with Licensee Lisa Miltimore and explained the purpose of the visit. A tour of the facility was conducted inside and outside of the facility.Licensee is currently utilizing the PIN 20-04 State Wide Waiver to temporarily increase her capacity to up to 14 children with at least one assistant.
Licensee has a two story home with a child proof gate at the top and bottom of the stairs. The kitchen, dining room and bathroom upstairs will be accessible to children during day care hours. The master bedroom with en suite bath is off limits and is made inaccessible by latches at the top of the doors. The fireplace was properly screened. The balcony is made inaccessible by a patio door pin. The upstairs and downstairs bathroom to be used by children were observed to be clean and free of toxins.
There are three rooms downstairs which will be used for child care. LPA observed clean, safe, age appropriate toys and pack n play cribs. All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children in care. Licensee stated there are no guns or ammunition in the home. The backyard is completely fenced and has cement, grass and shade area. LPA did not observe any bodies of water.
Fire Clearance was received on 07/30/2020. The 2A10BC regulation fire extinguisher was purchased on 08/15/2019. LPA observed functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the home. Preventative Health & Safety and Nutrition Training was completed on 08/09/2019. Applicant First Aid/CPR certificates is valid until 05/2021. Applicant AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate expires 05/2021.
Applicant provided mortgage statement to verify control of property. LPA discussed and verified SB 792 (Child Care Employee and Volunteer: Immunization and Tuberculosis Requirements). Applicant was informed walkers, bouncers and any similar object that restricts children's movement are prohibited from licensed facilities. |
