25 | On February 25, 2010, at 3:45 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley made an announced visit to conduct a Pre-Licensing Inspection of the abovementioned home. LPA met with Sandra Beas, the applicant of the home and explained the purpose and scope of the inspection. There are no children on site at the time of the inspection.
In the company of the applicant, LPA toured the interior and exterior of the home. The home is a four bedroom, two bath single story dwelling. Applicant stated the home’s family room, backyard and hallway bathroom will be used for child care, while the home’s bedrooms and garage will be excluded/off limits from child care services.
Licensing forms and documents are posted on the wall at the entry of the home. LPA observed a fireplace in the family room which is screened with metal mesh and inaccessible to children. The bathroom to be used for children care was observed to be clean and free of toxins. Medication in the home is secured in a cabinet in the kitchen which is elevated and beyond the reach of children. Detergents and cleaning compounds are stored in the home's garage which is inaccessible to children. LPA observed carbon monoxide and smoke detectors which were tested and found operable The home has appropriate heating and ventilation.
The backyard is enclosed with wooden and chain link fencing. The fence’s access gates are secured. The area dedicated for child care is partitioned and enclosed with wrought iron fencing. The backyard play area used for child care is free of hazards. Additionally, no bodies of water were observed on site.
The Applicant completed Mandated Reporter training on September 25, 2019. Further, the applicant
completed Preventative Health training on November 8, 2019. The Applicant’s Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificate expires on October 25, 2022 (EMSA approved). The Applicant stated there are no firearms or ammunition in the home. LPA reviewed Licensee's grant deed for the home . Applicant does not have liability
