On 4/10/2020 @ 2:00 PM Licensing Program Analyst(LPA) Martina Jimenez conducted a Pre-licensing Inspection for a Change of Location, Tele-Inspection, via FaceTime, due to COVID 19. LPA met with Maria Vera, License. The Previous facility number: 426215237.

The home was toured inside and outside. The main day care areas are living room, day-care room and hallway bathroom. LPA observed the day care area to be clean and orderly. LPA observed age appropriate books, toy, games, tables and chairs. LPA observed the off-limits areas which include the 5 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, kitchen and garage secured with doorknob covers and gates. The fireplace which is located in the living room has glass doors and will not be used. The bathroom used by children was observed to be clean and free of toxins. LPA observed clean, safe, age appropriate toys. All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children in care.

The backyard is completely fenced. LPA observed age appropriate toys, bikes, play structure and playhouses. LPA observed a small outdoor dog. No bodies of water were observed at the time of the visit

No bodies of water were observed at the time of the visit. Licensee stated that there are no weapons/ammunition in the home. Licensee stated she does not hold a foster family license. At 3:15 PM the fire extinguisher was observed and was last serviced on 4/10/2020. There is a functioning carbon monoxide detector and smoke alarm in the home, that were tested at 3:20 PM, that meets statutory requirements. Licensee is current with immunization required per SB 792. Licensee is current with CPR and First Aid which expires 5/2/2020.

Licensee is not providing Incidental Medical Services. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. The Mandated Reporter Training required per AB 1207 is currently not available in Spanish. LPA reviewed the handout "A Child Care Provider's Guide to Safe Sleep" and Effects of Lead Exposure. LPA provided a Handout for Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Training provided online at www.ccld.ca.gov.



The inspection visit was conducted in Spanish and report was translated in Spanish by LPA Jimenez. Licensure approved effective 04/10/2020.


There were no deficiencies cites at this time. FAILURE TO POST THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT FOR 30 DAYS MAY RESULT IN A $100.00 CIVIL PENALTY.
