On July 15, 2021, at 8:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) S. Mendoza-Ceja conducted an unannounced inspection to conclude a complaint investigation. The complaint was initiated on 04/20/201. LPA met with the Licensee Erika Ronchietto and Director Janeth Carachure and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Director escorted LPA through the facility inside and out. LPA requested a private area to interview staff. Investigation included interviewing complainant, some parents of children in care, staff.

Complainant alleged on April 14, 2021, three children were sent outside to play without supervision and became locked inside of the play yard when the automatic gate door closed. Also alleged, it is routine to send children to yard unsupervised or to the restroom, they use walkie talkies when sending children to the restroom.

Parents interviews did not corroborate the above allegation.

Staff interviews did not corrobrate any incident of children being left unattended on the play yard. In regards to children not adeuately supervised to the restroom staff indicated waklie talkies are used to communicate with the designated staff in the Quad Area who is there to assist with the restroom.

LPA met with Licensee Erika Ronchietto who disagreed with the allegation. Licensee stated there is never children unattended on the playground or anywhere. Never, ever. the staff need to call if they need a break.
The walkie talkies are the main source of communication for the school. There is always a person at the bathroom, we have "Two Quad People" available all day long. Children are never sent unannounced. All staff are on the walkie talkies so if necessary the Director Janeth Carachure or I will assist if needed.

Although these allegations may have occurred, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore, the allegations listed above are deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED.

Exit interview was conducted with Licensee Erika Ronchietto, during which appeal rights were provided.
The LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a $100.00 civil penalty.

Note: LPA left the facility at 2:30pm and returned at 3:30pm.
