25 | On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 10:30 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Manel Estoesta conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year Visit. LPA met the Director Penny Corpus and explained the nature of site visit. Present on this visit were 8 Teachers and 37 preschool children. The facility operates from Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm.
LPA toured the facility to conduct a health and safety inspection with the Director. Facility’s License, Parents’ Rights Poster, Personal Rights, Activity Schedules and Menus were observed to be posted. At 11 am, LPA observed teacher to children ratio complied and children were engaged in various activities under the visual supervision of the teachers.
Facility's licensed 5 classrooms which are Room 1 - Ladybugs, Room 2 - Parrots, Room 3 - Frogs, Room 4 - Owls and Room 5 - Butterflies. The Room 4 is being use as a Staff and storage room. The facility is currently on its Summer Program that will end of July and new school year starts on August 14th.
The preschool classrooms, restrooms, kitchen, pantry, storage, and office area were inspected. The floors of all rooms appear to be safe and clean. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other items that are dangerous to children were stored inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment such as mats, cots, tables, and chairs were age appropriate and were in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts.
All kitchen, food-preparation and storage areas were all kept clean and free of litter and rubbish. Food and beverages were kept protected against contamination and spoilage. Restrooms for children's use were observed to be in safe, sanitary, and functioning condition. LPA reminded the Director that firearms and other weapons is not be allowed on or stored on the facility premises.
