25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), James Santos conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection at the Facility today and met with Preschool Administrator, Katy Stamos.
LPA toured the Facility inside and outside with the Preschool Administrator. The required posted materials, including the Facility License, Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC 610), Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC 9148), Personal Rights (LIC 613A) and Child Car Seat Law are posted.
All classrooms were observed to be clean and well maintained. Furniture and equipment were observed to be in good condition. There are age appropriate toys available for children. Fire extinguishers, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and emergency first aid kits were observed in the classrooms. There are solid waste containers with tight-fitting lids in each classrooms. The children's bathroom was observed to be clean and sanitary. Chemicals and cleaning solutions are secured and inaccessible to children. The outside playground area is surrounded by appropriate fencing and were observed to be safe and free of hazards. The outdoor play equipment are in good condition and the surface area has sufficient resilient materials. There are no bodies of water observed.
Morning snacks are provided to the children. The children bring their own lunches and drinking water, and the center also provides additional drinking water through a water filtered dispenser. Per review of record, the center conducts emergency disaster drills monthly. Per Preschool Administrator, there are no weapons or firearms on the premises.
The annual inspection will be continued on a later date. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed and a copy was provided to Preschool Administrator, Katy Stamos.
