Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samantha Yip conducted an unannounced annual random inspection. LPA met with Director Kerry Drago and explained the reason for the inspection. Present during the inspection were at least 5 staff and 13 children. The teacher child ratio was observed to be in compliance during today's inspection.

Sign in/sign out sheet was reviewed, which contains full legal signature. License, Notification of Parent's Rights, and Emergency Disaster Plan were observed to be posted. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday 830AM to 1230PM.

LPA toured in the inside and outside of the facility with Director. The facility were observed to be clean. Disinfectant, cleaning supplies, and other items that are dangerous to children were inaccessible to children. LPA reminded Director that any disinfectant wipes needs to be stored inaccessible to children. LPA observed that there is sufficient amount of toys for children. Furniture and equipment, such as tables and chairs, were age appropriate. Bathroom for children's use was in functioning condition. LPA reminded Director to check any trash can for any cracks. LPA observed a fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector. Director stated that there are no weapons, such as firearms, stored at the facility.

The outdoor area is fenced. The play structure was observed to be in good condition. Area around play structure have resilient material to absorb falls. There were no bodies of water observed during today's inspection. Shaded rest area is provided through building overhang and trees.

Facility only provides snacks to the children in care, which is brought by assigned parent. Lunch is prepared and brought from home. The kitchen used to prepare snacks was observed to clean. Drinking water is provided through water fountains, water pitchers, and cups.

A copy of the facility roster was obtained. 5 children's files were reviewed during today's inspection. The records reviewed include but not limited to immunization records.

3 staff files were reviewed during today's inspection. The records reviewed include but not limited to education credit. LPA reminded Director that Mandated Reporter Training requires renewal every two (2) years. There is currently at least one staff on site with a valid CPR/1st Aid, which expires on 08/16/2020. All staff present have cleared criminal record clearance and child abuse index clearance.

Director stated that she currently does have a child in care who requires Incidental Medical Services (IMS). Plan for Providing IMS is on file. Medication was stored where it is inaccessible to children in care and with proper documentation.

In the areas that were evaluated, no deficiencies have been cited. An exit interview was conducted where this report was discussed and provided to Director Kerry Drago. A notice of site visit has been issued and must be posted for 30 consecutive days.
