25 | On February 27, 2020, at 11:35 A.M., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Marilou Monico, conducted an unannounced 1-Year Required Inspection. LPA met with Family Advocate Elena Ocampo, and Site Director, Dung Vo, and discussed the purpose of the inspection. The daycare is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
At 11:55 AM, LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas. The teacher-child ratio was in compliance during the inspection. There were trash cans with tight fitting covers in the classrooms for the disposal of solid wastes. Drinking water is available for the children indoor via water dispenser and disposable cups. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other similar items were stored inaccessible to children. There were functioning carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors at the facility. Children's bathroom was sanitary and in operating condition. There were no bodies of water observed. Per Site Director, there were no weapons on the premises. The facility utilized an electronic system for parents to sign in/out their children. At least one staff member present during the inspection has current CPR/First Aid certification.
Areas around high climbing equipment and swings have resilient material to absorb falls. Drinking water was available to the children outdoor via water jug and disposable cups.
Fingerprint clearances for individuals working at the facility are issued by the Santa Clara Department of Education and do not come under the jurisdiction of Community Care Licensing Division.
As a result of this inspection, there were no deficiencies cited.
A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED, POSTED NEAR THE ENTRANCE TO THE FACILITY, AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS. |
