1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Tuoc Doan and Stephanie Collins conducted a site visit to facility and met with Director Deloris [A.K.A. Dee] Arora. Facility also has an Infant Program (License #430710447) located in the same building at this address. Due to the current COVID-19 situation this site visit was scheduled with Director and Covid-19 Site-Specific Protection Plan was followed, such as face covering, physical distancing, hand-washing etc. This site visit is in response to facility’s request to decrease the capacity of the Preschool Program from 95 to 76. The Preschool Center will be using Rooms 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. A Fire Clearance has been granted on 04/13/2020. LPAs inspected and took measurements of Rooms 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, and the Preschool yard to determine the new maximum capacity that meets the requirement of 35 square feet of indoor activity space and 75 square feet of outdoor activity space per child. The following are the measurements: Preschool Indoor Activity Space: Room 1 = (Total sq. ft. of Room 1) – (Total Encumbered Space in Room 1) = (443.358 sq. ft.) – (16.942 sq. ft.) = 426.416 sq. ft. Room 5 = (Total sq. ft. of Room 5) – (Total Encumbered Space in Room 5) = (308.056 sq. ft.) – (3.618 sq. ft.) = 304.438 sq. ft.

There are 6 toilets and 8 sinks for Preschool children to use. The Staff restroom is adjacent to the office. Children who becomes ill will be isolated in the Office and isolation equipment will be provided. There are cubbies and hooks for children to store their belongings. Classrooms are furnished with age appropriate tables and chairs, play equipment, and toys.

The facility has a kitchen equipped with stoves, a microwave, a sink with hot and cold running water, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator. There are trash cans with tight fitted lids, and paper towels and hand soap near the sink. Drinking water is available. Facility staff will clean toys and equipment daily with cleaning wipes and solutions that will be kept inaccessible to children.

LPAs observed that the Preschool Yard is enclosed by a fence. Areas around and under climbing equipment, swings and slides have material that absorbs fall. Shade is provided by trees and building overhang.

At the conclusion of the site visit, Director was informed that due to the COVID-19 situation, this LIC809 Facility Evaluation Report will be generated at Licensing Office and emailed to the facility. Facility’s reply to the email will serve as acknowledgement that the report was received.

Exit Interview was conducted, where this report was reviewed with Director Deloris Arora over a video conference call on 05/22/2020.

LPA informed Director that facility will need to complete the following by May 29, 2020:

1. Facility would like to decrease the Preschool capacity to 78, not 76 like originally requested. Thus, Facility needs to submit an updated form LIC 200A to reflect Preschool capacity of of 78.

Director was informed that once Licensing Office receives the item above, Facility’s request to decrease the Preschool capacity will be submitted to Licensing Management for the final stage of review.
