Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samantha Yip conducted an unannounced annual random inspection. LPA met with Director Lisa Nantais and explained the reason for the inspection. Present during the inspection were 19 children at least 6 staff present. The teacher child ratio was observed to be in compliance during today's inspection.

License and Notification of Parent's Rights were observed to be posted. LPA reviewed the sign in/sign out sheet, which contains full legal signature.

LPA toured in the inside and outside of the center with Director. Disinfectant, cleaning supplies, and other items that are dangerous to children were observed to be stored inaccessible to children in care. Furniture and equipment, such as tables and chairs, were in good condition and age appropriate. LPA observed that there is sufficient amount of toys for children in care. Restroom for children's use was observed to be in functioning condition. LPA observed a fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector. Director stated that there are no weapons, such as firearms, stored on the premise.

The outdoor activity area is fenced. Play structure were observed to be in good condition. Areas around play structure have resilient material to absorb falls. LPA observed that tan bark is starting to get low and that there are patches in the rubber mulch. LPA discussed with Director about purchasing more tan bank and replacing any patches in the rubber mulch. There were no bodies of water observed during today's inspection. Shaded rest area is provided through trees and building overhang.

Meals are prepared and brought from home. Facility does provide snacks to children in care. Menu was observed to be posted. Area to prepare snacks was observed to be clean and sanitary. Drinking water is provided through water pitchers and cups.

A copy of the facility roster was obtained. 10 children's files were reviewed during today's inspection. The records reviewed include but not limited to admission agreement and parent's rights.

6 staff files were reviewed during today's inspection. The records reviewed include but not limited to health screening and Mandated Reporter Training. LPA reminded Director that the Mandated Reporter Training requires renewal every two (2) years. There is currently at least one staff with a valid CPR/1st Aid, which expires on 06/2021. All staff present during today's inspection have cleared criminal record clearance and child abuse index.

Director stated she currently does have a child in care who requires Incidental Medical Services (IMS). Medication is stored where it is inaccessible to children and with the proper documentation.

In the areas that were evaluated during today's inspection, no deficiencies have been cited. An exit interview was conducted, where this report was discussed and provided to Director Lisa Nantais. A notice of site visit has been issued and must be posted for 30 consecutive days.
