On 4/6/23 at, 9:30 AM Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Michael Mathew conducted an unannounced inspection to conclude a complaint investigation and completed a COVID-19 pre-screening questions prior to entering the facility. LPA met with Director Kim King-Martin and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. There were 9 children and 2 staff in care at the time of the inspection.

Allegation: Staff handled day-care child in a rough manner. During the investigation, LPA interviewed staff members, interviewed parents, and interviewed daycare children. LPA observed staff handling children in a comfortable manner. Parents that were interviewed has not heard or observed children being handled in a rough manner. Children that were interviewed stated that one staff member does grab children on arm if they are bad but did not determine that it was in a rough manner. Based on interviews conducted, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, meaning the allegations may have happened or are valid. Therefore, the allegations are deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED.

LPA met with Director Wazhma Masarweh and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. There were 9 children and 2 staff in care at the time of the inspection.

Allegation: Staff threatens day-care children.During the investigation, LPA interviewed staff members, interviewed parents, and interviewed daycare children. LPA did not observed staff threaten day care children. Parents that were interviewed has not observed staff threaten care children but have observed staff raising their voice to children in care. Children that were interviewed did not say staff has not threaten them or other children. Based on interviews conducted, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, meaning the allegations may have happened or are valid. Therefore, the allegations are deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED.

Allegation:Staff verbally abuses day-care children. During the course of the investigation, LPA interviewed staff members, interviewed parents, and interviewed daycare children. LPA did not observed staff verbally abuses day care children. Parents that were interviewed has not observed staff verbally abusing day care children, but have observed staff raising there voice to children in care. Children that were interviewed says teacher does not say anything that will make them sad. Based on interviews conducted,There is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, meaning the allegations may have happened or are valid. Therefore, the allegations are deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED.
