Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Joel Segura, and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Marilou Monico, met with Licensees, Natan Solomon and Shulamit Solomon, at the San Jose Regional Office today for a scheduled Informal Meeting. The purpose of today's meeting is to discuss the Licensees' compliance and ability to follow the Title 22 Regulations.

This Informal Meeting is a result of the following citations:
03/14/24 – 101216.3(a) – Teacher-Child Ratio – LPA observed a teacher supervising 13 children in Room 4. The facility repeated a violation within 12 months. Immediate civil penalty of $250 was assessed.
03/06/24 – 101216.3(a) – Teacher-Child Ratio. A teacher was alone supervising 14 children.
03/06/24 – 101170(e)(2) – Criminal Record Clearance – S-1 & S-2 have fingerprint clearances, however their clearances were not associated to the facility. $400 civil penalty was assessed.

LPM explained to Licensees that if there are continued deficiencies cited for the issues noted on this report, the Facility may be referred to legal department for possible administrative action, which could include revocation of the Facility license. The facility will be monitored at the department's discretion for the next 12 months to ensure that the facility is in compliance with Title 22 Regulations.

Licensees agreed to maintain the required ratio and capacity at all times and obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption for all adults 18 and over, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center.

Assembly Bill 633 (Child Care Parent Notification Requirements) and Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224) was also explained and provided to Licensees during today’s meeting.
