32 | All the disinfectants and cleaning solutions are stored in the top cabinets, so the children do not have access to them. All foods and snacks are prepared by the teachers. They also have food delivery (lunch) by a company called Taste. The milk percentage is 1 percent milk stored in the refrigerator. The classroom is equipped with toys, books, chairs, and tables that are appropriate for the age group. The outside area has gardening shaded area, slides, swings, bikes, sand toys. It also has a cushioning man-made green grass mat underneath the play structure.
All hazardous materials and toxins are kept out of reach from children and are not accessible. The Child Care Center has a fully charged fire extinguisher 3A-40-BC, working smoke detector, carbon monoxide, telephone and fully stocked first aid kit. Per Director, there are no firearms on the premises. The children can wash their hands and paper towels are provided for them to wipe their hands. The furniture around the classroom is child proof and the toys are stored in safety bins that can be easily accessed by the children.
The Assistant Director's CPR/First Aid is current. All present staff have completed the mandated reporter training. The director conducts and documents fire and disaster drills twice a year and the last conducted drill was on 3/30/23. All required forms are posted and visible for public review. There is a current roster available for review and copy obtained. All staff files and children’s files are following all the required forms.
