25 | Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Sandy Knight and Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Pietro Hernandez & Oscar Huang met with Licensee Representative/Program Manager, Claudia Paterson at the San Jose Regional Office today for a scheduled Informal Meeting. The purpose of today’s meeting is to discuss the Licensee’s compliance and ability to follow Title 22 Regulations.
CCL received an unusual Incident Report from Licensee Representative/Program Manager, Claudia Paterson, stating that while lining up to go outside, a child left the line to go to the bathroom unsupervised. The other children & staff went outside leaving the child unsupervised in the bathroom and classroom. The child exited the classroom and was found on the playground still unsupervised by a parent. This Informal Meeting is a direct result of recent type A citation, under section 101229(a)(1) Care and Supervision. No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision, including visual observation, of a teacher at any time, was issued 04/22/2019.
Licensee Representative/Program Manager, Claudia Paterson submitted a Plan of Correction indicating all staff who attended training on 05/13/2019 along with training agenda.
Licensee Representative/Program Manager, Claudia Paterson agrees to provide CCL an update and expansion training contents on 7/12/2019, as well as staff training on proper supervision techniques and supervision expectations to all staff prior to the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. Proof of training & contents will be sent to CCL by 08/15/2019.
LPM, Sandy Knight explained the informal meeting and the administrative process. Licensee Representative/Program Manager, Claudia Paterson was advised that continued non-compliance with Title 22 Regulations could result in their license being referred to CCL's legal department for review and possible action against the license. Assembly Bill 633 (Child Care Parent Notification Requirements) and Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Reports (LIC9224) was also explained and Provided to Licensee Representative/Program Manager, Claudia Paterson during today’s meeting.
Licensee Representative/Program Manager, Claudia Paterson understood that this department will increase monitoring of the facility for the next twelve months.
