25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Pete Hernandez and Jovani Dillon conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection at the home today. LPAs met with Asha Vyas, Licensee, and explained the nature of today's visit. Also present was her assistant and husband Rajendra Vyas. There were 5 children present at the time of LPAs arrival: 2 infants and 3 preschoolers. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Licensee resides in the home with her husband and 2 adult children.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas. Off limit areas in the home: Living Room near the street, Laundry room, and 2 bedrooms. Off limit areas outside the home: back fenced off corner of the backyard. Fire drills are conducted are every 6 months and logged; most recent was done 8/19/22. Licensee does have a current childrens roster. The Licensee has a working telephone in the home. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. The home is orderly, and safe for the day care children.
LPA observed a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher. There are working smoke & carbon monoxide detectors in the home as well as fire pull stations in the home. There were no bodies of water at the home. Licensee understands that all pools, spas, hot tubs, fish ponds, or similar bodies of water shall be covered or fenced as specified in title 22 regulations to be inaccessible to children. Licensee states that there are no weapons or firearms in the home. All detergents, cleaning compounds, other similar items and poisons are in the shed or out of reach, and are inaccessible to children.
