25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pete Hernandez conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection at the home today. LPA met with Guadalupe Mendoza, Licensee, and her Assistant Alma Urias Osuna and explained the nature of today's visit to her. There were 6 children present at the time of the LPA's arrival: One infant and five preshoolers. She is the homeowner and resides in the house with her husband, two adult kids and her child age 6. Hours are Monday - Friday from 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
LPA toured the indoors and outdoors of the facility and Off limit areas area; All bedrooms, pool area, garage and gated side yard by garage. There is a dough boy pool in the side yard which has a see through fence with self latching gate. LPA observed a body of water which is the pool.It meets the Ttle 22 regulation requirements. Licensee understands that all pools, spas, hot tubs, fish ponds, or similar bodies of water shall be covered or fenced as specified in title 22 regulations to be inaccessible to children. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. Fire drills are conducted every month and logged and the most recent was logged 12/17/2021. The Licensee maintains a current childrens roster. The Licensee has a working telephone in the home. LPAs observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. The home is orderly, and safe for the day care children.
LPA observed 1 fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher. There are working smoke & carbon monoxide detectors in the home with fire pull stations. The Licensee states that she does not have any weapons in the home. All detergents, cleaning compounds, other similar items and poisons are locked in the kitchen or in the garage and are inaccessible to children.
LPA reviewed the files of 6 enrolled children, all the files have all of the required documentation and immunizations.
