There are nine (9) tables, 60 chairs, 40 cubbies, 80 hooks, 44 mats, 7 sinks, and 3 toilets. There are toys and equipment for children. Only Classroom 1 is set up. Site Director stated that she will send a picture of Classroom 2 once it is set up. There is fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector. Director stated that they will also be installing a plug in or battery operated carbon monoxide detector. Isolation area for children in Classroom 1 will be by the cubbies and by the closet door in Classroom 2. Sick children will use the staff restroom across from the kitchen.
The outdoor area is fenced. Area around climbing equipment and slides have resilient material. Shaded rest area is provided through canopy and trees. There were no bodies of water observed during today's inspection.
All meals and snacks are prepared off site. There is a kitchen to store food. Kitchen has hot and cold running water. Drinking water inside is provided through water coolers and cups. Drinking water outside will be provided through water fountain and gallon water and cups. Menu was observed to be posted.
Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test.
