Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Almaraz, Araceli conducted a Plan of Correction Inspection. The purpose of today’s visit is to ensure this facility is in compliance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations. LPA was greeted and granted entrance by Director Manosca, Angela. Todays census is 122 (preschool age) children and 16 staff. Child/teacher ratios were observed and names of staff recorded.

Upon arrival LPA discussed with Director a previous citation issued to this facility. On 10/29/2019 LPA Almaraz issued a Type B citation in accordance with regulation 101216.1 (1)(c)(1) "To be a fully qualified teacher, a teacher shall have one of the following:Teacher Qualifications: Twelve post secondary semester or equivalent quarter units in early childhood education or child development completed, with passing grades, at an accredited or approved college or university;" This requirement was not met as evidenced by licensing staff observed the documentation was not on file for S5. It was later determined that S5 was missing one class needed to fulfill the position of a fully quantified preschool teacher As a result S5 was required to enroll in a
Child Family and Community class. . LPA can now confirm based on observation this facility is currently in compliance with regulation 101216.1 (1)(c)(1). This citation has been corrected in accordance with Title 22 Division 12, Chapter 1. Director Manosca presented proof of enrollment of S5 of class mentioned. Class enrollment dated 12/02/2019, classes are scheduled to begin in Jan 2020 and complete in Apr 2020, LPA obtained a copy of proof of enrollment. LPA discussed the importance meeting teacher qualifications in order t ostay in compliance with regulation 101216.1 (1)(c)(1)Title 22 California Code of Regulations.

No deficiencies cited, no civil penalty assessed for failure to correct, exit interview conducted, and a copy of this report was provided to Director Manosca.

A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED, POSTED, MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 CONSECUTIVE DAYS.
