On Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 9:45 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Manel Estoesta conducted an Unannounced Required One (1) Year Visit. LPA met with the Executive Director Meghan Galazzo and explained the nature of the site visit. Present on this visit were 8 Kindergarten children and 2 staff members. Facility operates from Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 6 pm.
LPA toured the facility to conduct a health and inspection with the Director. The facility has an Infant and Preschool Component in the same location. The facility is formerly known as Cisco Family Connection. The facility is licensed in classroom M, the S.T.E.A.M room, Gym room, Music room, Multi-Purpose room, and the library.
The facility is currently only operating in the Classroom M for Kindergarten Program from Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm and in the Multi-Purpose Room from Monday to Friday 3pm to 6pm for the After School Program. School Age students will start in Summer 2022.
Facility follows the posting requirement. Restrooms for children to use were observed to be in safe and sanitary operating conditions. There were no bodies of water observed. Director stated that facility do not have weapons on the premises. Furniture and equipment were in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Floors were clean and safe were free of hazards. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons, and other items that are dangerous to children were stored inaccessible to children.
The facility prepares and provides meals and snacks for the children. LPA observed and reviewed the Menus with the Director. The facility's kitchen has a recent inspection County of Santa Clara, Department of Environmental Health.
Outdoor activity space is fenced, play equipment and other activity room were maintained in a safe condition and free of hazards. There were shaded rest areas for children.
Drinking water is arranged to be readily available for children in care.
LPA observed fire extinguishers, First Aid Kit, and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Milpitas Fire Department Permit expires on 12/31/2022.
Fire Drill last conducted on March 2022 and Earthquake drill was last conducted January 2022.

Children's and Teacher's files were reviewed. The teachers have a current CPR and First Aid Training Certificate. LPA reviewed the teacher's recent Mandated Reporter Acknowledgement form. LPA reminded the Director that the Child Care Providers Mandated Reporter AB 1207 requires 2 year renewal.
LPA reviewed the facility's Children' Sign In and Out. The facility is using the "My Bright Day Application" for operation management and the Director showed the LPA on the it works.
Facility does not provides transportation for children at this time.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey will be sent to the email address provided. Please complete the survey and share your inspection experience. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the PIN 21-21-CCP and PIN 22-10-CCP.


A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

There are no deficiencies cited on this visit.
