25 | On 4/18/2022 at 12:20pm Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Morgan Pringle met with Licensee Claudia Nolte for an Unannounced Annual Inspection. Present during the inspection was the Licensee, one (1) assistant, four (4) infants and three (3) preschool age children. Licensee’s adult son was in the home but left at the beginning of the inspection and returned later. Licensee’s home was toured for a health and safety inspection. The facility operates 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.
ON LIMITS AREA: Living Room, Bedroom and Bathroom Next to the Entry Way, Kitchen and Backyard
OFF LIMITS AREA: Dining Room, Three (3) bedrooms, 2nd Bathroom and Garage
ISOLATION AREA: Dining Room
The facility is a single-story home owned by the Licensee. The inside and outside of the home were observed to be neat, clean with ample age appropriate materials for the children. All toxins, cleaning products, personal medications, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. The fireplace in the dining room is gated and made inaccessible to the children in care. The off-limit areas are gated and closed off making them inaccessible to the children in care. Licensee has stated that there are no firearms and no pets in the home. There was one (1) dog at the home during the visit, Licensee stated her son is pet sitting and the dog is only at the home for one (1) week.
The home has one (1) fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher in the kitchen. There is a working carbon monoxide/smoke detector in the entry way and in the hallway. There is a working smoke detector in the on-limits bedroom and the living room. The home is equipped with central heat and air for proper ventilation. LPA did not observe any harmful bodies or water in or around the home. Licensee has a waiver for two (2) bird baths, one (1) in the back yard and one (1) in the front yard. LPA inspected both bird baths and they are both filled with rocks and no harm to the children in care. Continued on LIC809-C |
