1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	On 3/5/2020 at 08:06AM: Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Pete Hernandez, met with Site Director, Cindy Huang, for a Required 1 Year Visit. LPA toured the Facility both inside and outside. LPA notes that there are 4 classrooms for the preschool program and 1 classroom for the toddler option. LPA observed all the required posted materials: License, Parents’ Rights Poster PUB393, Personal Rights, and Activity Schedules, were observed to be posted. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:45am to 6:30pm. LPA reviewed 10 random children's files and 5 staff files. All files were complete. Site Director has current CPR/First Aid certification with an expiration date of 9/21/21. Site Director understands that there shall be at least one person, with valid CPR and First Aid certifications, on site at all times or present during off-site activities. LPA reviewed the sign in/out sheets and children's roster and current fire drill log. A copy of the children's roster was provided to the LPA. LPA observed that the teacher/child ratio was in compliance during today's visit. Site Director understands the conditions, limitations, and capacity specifications of the Facility license. Site Director understands that the children shall be visually supervised at all times and never left unattended. The rooms are clean. Site Director states that the Facility has third party cleaning service that cleans the Facility Monday through Friday in the evenings. Drinking water is readily available for the children indoor and outdoors activities. The children's bathrooms and staff bathroom are clean, sanitary, and operable. Site Director states that there are no weapons or firearms on the premises. LPA observed at least one functioning carbon monoxide detector at the facility. LPA observed LPA 3 fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguishers. LPA observed trash cans with tight fitting lids throughout the facility.

The playground areas are surrounded with an appropriate fence. Shade is through a canopy and several trees. LPA observed tan bark and rubberized resilient material under the climbing structures. No bodies of water were observed.

Director stated that facility does handle medication and currently only has 5 Children in care who require Incidental Medical Services. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. The facility has an IMS program on file with the CCLD.

Site Director is encouraged to visit the Department’s website at www.cdss.ca.gov to access resources for Providers, Title 22 Regulations, Online option to pay Annual License fee, Adoption of new Laws, etc.

Isolation of sick child was discussed, and Director explained that a sick child is brought to the office area to be isolated from other children. A Staff restroom is used and is off limits to other children is located next to the office is used if necessary. Child is always under visual supervision while being cared for.

A review of Staff records indicates that all persons that require a caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. LPA informed Licensee of the applicable civil penalties for any adult who has not received fingerprint clearances, is not associated to the license and who comes in contact with or provides care and supervision to the children. Penalty amounts: $100.00 per person per day, minimum of $100.00 to a maximum of $500.00 per person for an initial violation and a minimum of $100.00 to a maximum of $3000.00 per person for any subsequent violation within a 12- month period.

Snacks are provided to the children. There was a monthly menu posted at the time of the inspection.
