Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stephanie Collins conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection of the Preschool. Upon arrival LPA met with Teacher Director Nita Vaidya staff ( Charu Vaidya) present supervising nine day care children.

Facility’s License, Parents’ Rights Poster, Personal Rights, and Activity Schedules were observed to be posted. Facility's operating days and hours are Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

The physical plant was inspected. LPA toured the building inside and out with Licensee. Facility was observed to be in compliance with teacher to children ratio requirement during the inspection.
Facility has four preschool classrooms, play area, dining area, restroom, kitchen, storage room, and office room were inspected. Licensee stated that facility does not possess nor store any weapons on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other items that are dangerous to children were stored inaccessible to children. Storage room was locked. Furniture and equipment such as mats, cots, tables, and chairs were age appropriate and were in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Restroom for children's use was observed to be in safe, sanitary, and functioning condition. Floors were clean and free from tripping hazard.

Outdoor activity space is fenced and play equipment were maintained in a safe condition and free of hazards. There were no bodies of water observed. Areas around and under high climbing equipment and slides were cushioned with material that absorbs falls. There were shaded rest areas for children. Drinking water are arranged to be readily available to children during indoor and outdoor activities.
Foods and beverages were kept protected against contamination and spoilage. Menu was posted. Kitchen and food storage area were clean, free of litter, rubbish, and rodents/vermin. Trash cans for solid waste had tight-fitting covers on, and were in good repair.

Licensee stated that facility does not handle medications and does not have children in care who requires Incidental Medical Services - IMS. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed IMS plane will be given when needed

Currently, facility does not transport children, but Licensee understands that children cannot be left alone, unattended in park vehicles. First Aid Kit was inspected. Fully charged fire extinguisher was observed LPA observed Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors, and wired fire alarm system. Fire drill was last conducted in 02/20/2020.

Facility files were reviewed A sampling of Children files was selected for review. Records reviewed include Admission Agreement, Sign in and out sheets observed (Per Kite 3)
A sampling of Staff files was selected for review. The records reviewed include: Criminal Record and Child Abuse Index Clearance, At least one person is trained in CPR and pediatric First Aid was present during inspection. Staff records contained appropriate documentation of education credits.

LPA referred Licensee to the Department website: www.ccld.ca.gov for additional information
Symptoms of Lead exposure was discussed flyer was given to be issued to each parent and any New parents. .

There were NO deficiencies cited during todays inspection in accordance to the California Code of Regulations Tile 22, Division 12 Chapter 1. Exit interview conducted, copy of report was given
