Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kate Huang and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Gladys Kuizon conducted an unannounced Annual inspection today and met with licensee, Qu, Wei.

LPA and LPM arrived at 08:50 AM and observed that there are 7 children present, including one infant. Only the licensee and her husband are working here and both of them are present.

The licensee said that they provide 1 lunch and 2 snacks everyday for the children. LPA observed licensee serving lunch to children at 11:20 AM.

LPA and LPM toured the home and observed that toys and equipment are clean and orderly. LPA and LPM did not observe any walker. The licensee said that there are no firearms or guns inside and they do not provide overnight care. LPA and LPM checked the carbon monoxide detector and it works. The home also has fire extinguisher and smoke detector devices.

The outdoor area is inspected and no body of water is accessible.

To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey may be sent to the email address provided. Please complete the survey and share your inspection experience. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

During the exit interview, the Licensee, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. LPA checked Megan's law website on 09/20/2024.
