25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mel Matos met with Mary Jane Rosales, Licensee, for an unannounced annual/random inspection. LPA notes that the entrance to the day care is via the right side gate leading to the backyard. LPA also observed Licensee's mother, Licensee's mother-in-law, one adult assistant, and three day care children (1 infant & 2 preschool) in the home during today's inspection. Days and hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The adults that reside in the home are the Licensee, spouse, and Licensee's mother. The Licensee has three children of her own, ages 15 and 12 years, that also reside in the home.
The Licensee, Licensee's spouse, and Licensee's mother have valid CPR & First Aid certifications (expiration: February 2020). The Licensee's adult assistant has valid CPR and First Aid certifications (expiration: April 2020). LPA reviewed the Child Care Facility Roster and Fire/Disaster drill log during today's inspection. The last Fire/Disaster drill was completed on May 28, 2019. LPA observed that the Licensee and adult assistant has completed the required Mandated Reporter Training for Child Care Workers.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the home during today's inspection. The Licensee has a working telephone in the home. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. The home is clean, orderly, and safe for the day care children. LPA did not observe any wall heaters inside the home. The family room, fourth bathroom, and adjoining bathroom (located on the back end of the home) are the main areas of the home used for the day care. Off limit areas inside the home: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen/dining room areas, and attached garage. There are no stairs inside the home. Off limit areas outside the home: front yard, left side area of the backyard, and three locked sheds.
