A review of staff records during today's inspection indicates that all Facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. LPA advised Site Director of the applicable civil penalties for those adults who have not received fingerprint clearances, are not associated to the license and who come in contact with or provide care and supervision to the children. Penalty amounts: $100.00 per person per day, minimum of $100.00 to a maximum of $500.00 per person for an initial violation and a minimum of $100.00 to a maximum of $3000.00 per person for any subsequent violation within a 12 month period.
LPA advised Site Director on the requirements of AB 633, new car seat law, immunization's needed before starting preschool, and healthy beverages in child care.
Fire Drills are conducted every 6 months. The last log entry was 8/30/2022.
Jennifer Cortez, Teacher and back up Director, has a current CPR /1st Aid card that expires 11/6/20/23.
Water is available to the children indoors and outdoors at all times during operating hours.
Children bring their own lunches and snacks from home.
The facility cleaned and disinfected daily by a third party after school hours.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS,and currently has children enrolled with IMS needs. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. LPA conducted an exit interview with the Site Director prior to the conclusion of today's inspection and advised the Site Director of the required "mandated reporter" training for AB 1207 requirement for Child Care Providers that all staff must complete within 90 days of commencing employment at the Facility.
