25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samantha Yip conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection. LPA met with Licensee Linda Contreras and explained the reason for the inspection. Present during today's inspection were Licensee, her mother, who helps with the daycare children, and 10 children. Two of whom were infant age. All adults present have cleared fingerprint clearance.
There is board to post required posting. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7AM to 5PM. There is working phone in the home.
LPA toured the home. The off-limit areas of the home the kitchen, laundry room, hallway closet, garage, the entire upstairs, and the backyard. There are stairs and a fireplace in the home which are barricaded. The home was observed to be clean. Furniture and equipment were observed to be in good condition. LPA observed that there is sufficient amount of toys for children in care. Cleaning supplies, disinfectants, and other items that could pose a risk to children was observed to be inaccessible. LPA reminded Licensee that all disinfectant wipes need to be out of reach of children. There were no baby walkers observed during today's inspection. LPA discussed with Licensee about the safe sleep regulation and documentation of any infants sleeping. There is a fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector. The last fire/disaster drill was conducted on 06/03/2021. Licensee stated that there are no weapons, such as firearms, stored in the home.
The front yard and the side front yard are used, which is fenced. All play equipment and toys were observed to be in good condition. There is pool in the backyard, which has a fence around it. There were no other bodies of water observed during today's inspection.
