Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Oscar Huang met with Senior Director, Cindy Huang for an unannounced annual inspection. LPA explained the nature of today’s inspection to Licensee. LPA also observed 6 staff and 24 preschool day care children in the facility during today's inspection. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6:00pm. Cindy Huang stated that the facility is currently pausing the toddler program operation. All the enrolled children are above 2 years old, and enrolled to the preschool program only.
Senior Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the facility, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Senior Director, Cindy Huang and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource.
