25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Pete Hernandez, met with Center Director, Linda White for an unannounced Required 1 Year Inspection in the Infant Program and explained the purpose of the visit. The Facility is currently licensed in Infant Room 1 and Toddler Room 1. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The facility has three waivers on file for shared indoor gym, shared restrooms and the electronic sign in out.
LPA observed the required posted materials, including the Facility License, Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC 610), Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC 9148), Parents' Rights Poster (PUB 393), Personal Rights (LIC 613A), Child Car Seat Law (PUB 269), Menus, and Activity Schedule. LPA observed (6) infants with one (1) Teacher and one ( 1) Assistant in the infant room 1 and (12) Toddlers with two (2) Teachers and one (1) Aid In the Toddler Room 2. (Licensee no longer has a Toddler Option.)
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the Facility during today's inspection.
LPA observed that all rooms are clean and safe for all children and staff. Mrs White states that the facility has an outside janitorial company that clean the facility Monday through Friday in the evenings. Drinking water is readily available for the children in each room and in the outdoor playground area via water pitchers and disposable cups or personal bottles. LPA observed solid waste containers with tight-fitting lids in each room. Staff and children's bathrooms are clean, sanitary, and operable. There is a separate staff bathroom not utilized by the children which an isolated child can use if needed. Mrs. White states that there are no weapons or firearms on the premises.
