25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pete Hernandez conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection at the home today. LPA met with Kanderpi Shah, Licensee, and explained the nature of today's visit. There were no children present at the time of LPA’s arrival. She will be resuming child care operations next week. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Licensee is the homeowner and resides in the house with her husband, and son when comes home from college, her 16 y.o. daughter and her mother in law. Licensee is a home owner. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00PM.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas. Off limit areas area; master suite, mother- in- law's bedroom , garage and laundry room There are no off limit areas outside the home. Fire drills are to be conducted are every 6 months and logged. Licensee has not done logged a fire drill since October of 2020. Licensee does have a current child roster . The Licensee has a working telephone in the home. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. The home is orderly, and safe for the day care children.
LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher. There are working smoke & carbon monoxide detectors in the home. Licensee understands that all pools, spas, hot tubs, fish ponds, or similar bodies of water shall be covered or fenced as specified in title 22 regulations to be inaccessible to children. Licensee states that there are no weapons or firearms in the home. All detergents, cleaning compounds, other similar items and poisons are in the garage or out of reach, and are inaccessible to children.
LPA reviewed the files of 4 enrolled children and all required documentation was in the files.
