Child Records: LPA reviewed 8 children record. LPA observed child care facility roster, the sign in/out record reflects that all children are properly signed in/out by the person responsible for the child, Identification & Emergency Information, Admission Agreement, Physician’s Report, History Medical assessment, Consent for Medical Treatment are in each children file, Immunization records are maintained and up-to-date, Personal Rights and Notification of Parents’ Rights are in each child’s file.
Incidental Medical Services Incidental Medical Services (IMS) were discussed with Director. The facility is providing IMS at this time. LPA observed Epic Pen is current, and service consent is signed by For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Advisory: LPA discussed AB 2231: Civil Penalty Updates effective July 1, 2017 with Director. A $500 immediate civil penalty and $100 per day violation until corrected is assessed for serious violations such as absence of supervision, accessible bodies of water, accessible firearms, refused entry of licensing staff, presence of an excluded person, and violations that result in illness or injury. A $100 per day for each violation for Failure to Correct, and $250 immediately and $100 per day per violation until corrected for Repeat Violations. LPA reviewed COVID-19 infection prevention guidance & self-assessment with licensee including her plans in place to protect and support staff, children, cleaning & hygiene implementation, health screening & social distancing practices, meal times and arrival & pickup procedures. LPA observed posters & visitor policy notice were posted at the front entrance. LPA advised that all children above 2 were wearing masks.
LPA discussed Beginning January 1, 2018, Health and Safety Code 1596.8662 requires all licensed providers, applicants, directors and employees to complete training as specified on their mandated reporter duties and to renew their training every two years except their primary language is not English can request to be exempted until Chinese version material becomes available.
