25 | On 11/30/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Farida Raja, met with Director, Eshraq Hadi, for an unannounced Required 3-Year inspection in the Infant with Toddler Component Program. The facility is licensed to serve children ages 6 months to 24 months. The facility has one waiver on file for electronic sign in/ out. LPA observed the required posted materials including menus and daily activity schedule. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
LPA and Director toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the preschool program during today's inspection. There is preschool program (#434404854) on the same premises. LPA observed three teachers and 7 children in two toddler classrooms (45A and 45B). Children were eating breakfast and engaged in free play under the visual supervision of staff. Facility was in compliance with teacher to children ratio requirement.
The classroom, children's restroom, staff restroom and kitchen were inspected. Facility has central heating/cooling for comfort of children. Director states that there are no weapons or firearms on the premises. There is a working telephone at the facility (408-353-0458). Disinfectants, cleaning products and medication were observed to be stored inaccessible to the children in care. All cabinets, drawers, and areas used for storage were child locked. Furniture and equipment were age appropriate and in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Floors were clean and free from tripping hazards. LPA observed appropriate changing tables that have raised sides. Napping mats were observed to be appropriate and labelled with each child's name. LPA did not observe cribs and Director stated that only children 18 months and over are enrolled into the program. LPA observed solid waste containers with tight-fitting lids in the classroom, kitchen area and outdoors. Restroom and sinks for children was observed to be safe, sanitary, and in working condition. Staff has one separate bathroom that can be utilized by sick children if needed. Director stated that the classrooms are cleaned every evening and in the morning before children arrive by staff. The facility is also cleaned every night by a professional cleaning service.
