25 | On April 3, 2023, at 8:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods met with licensee Katia Perez-Palma for an Unannounced Required 1 Year Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the licensee. Present during the inspection was the licensee's fingerprint cleared assistant, S. Chavez, eight children, three (3) infants and five (5) preschool age children. The licensee is in ratio today. Licensee stated that the facility operates from Monday to Friday 7:30 AM-5:30 PM
LPA toured the facility inside and outside to conduct a Health and Safety inspection. This single story home was clean and orderly, with heating and ventilation for the safety and comfort of children in care. The Isolation area of the home will be the bedroom to the left of the hallway, away from other children in care.
There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water present in the on-limit areas during today's inspection. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children during today’s inspection.
The home has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, working carbon monoxide detector, and telephone. There’s a fireplace that has a barricade/screen in the living room to prevent access by children and there's a gate in the kitchen.
Per licensee, there are no firearms in the home. LPA asked the licensee does she transport children and the licensee stated that she does not transport children.
OFF LIMIT: The off-limit areas are the first hallway bedroom to the right, the kitchen area, and the garage.
ON LIMIT: The on-limit areas are the living room, the dining area, the second hallway bedroom to the left, the hallway bathroom, and backyard.
