25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Fermin Campos-Jaramillo conducted an unannounced one year required inspection to the home today. LPA met with Sukhdeep Sandhu, Licensee, and explained the nature of today's inspection to her. LPA observed nine children were in care today, including five preschool age and four infants. Licensee's husband Jagvinder also was in the home. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Licensee stated the adults that reside in the home are the Licensee, her husband Jagvinder, and her mother Kashmir. Also in the home reside licensee's minor children ages 9 and 6. LPA observed that helping with the day care children were licensee's helpers Neelam and Andrea. Licensee's, Licensee's husband, LIcensee's helpers have current certifications for CPR and First Aid expiring on 9/18/2020 and 7/13/2021 respectively.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the home during today's visit. LPA obtained a copy of the children's roster and Licensee stated it is current. LPA reviewed the Fire/Disaster drill log during today's visit. The last fire drill was documented on 2/20/2020. LPA reviewed nine children files and they are complete including the parent's right form and the immunization records form. Licensee has a working telephone in the home. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. The home is clean, orderly, and safe for the day care children. LPA observed the swimming pool is fenced and the door leading to the pool is locked. Off limit areas in the home: four bedrooms, one bathroom, and the attached garage. There are not stairs in the home. Off limit areas outside the home: The right side yard where the pool is located. Licensee states there are weapons/firearms in the home. LPA observed the firearms are stored in a safety vault located in an off limits bedroom. The ammunition is stored and locked in a separate box. LPA observed the playground area is located in the back yard of the home which is fenced.
LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher last serviced on July 2019, working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. All detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other similar items are stored inaccessible to children. LPA discussed Incidental Medical Services with the Licensee. Licensee has proof of immunization for measles, pertussis and influenza for herself and for all the adults in contact with children, according with the SB792.
