LPA was met by Director/Applicant, Manisha Sharma. The center has submitted an application for a CAPACITY INCREASE/ROOM ADDITIONS. Facility is currently requesting to increase from 48 preschoolers to 88 preschoolers. Present during today's visit were 22 napping preschool aged children and 4 staff members. A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and outside. Facility days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM. The facility measurements are as follows: INDOORS: 3236.22 SQUARE FEET = 92 CHILDREN OUTDOORS: 8761.80 SQUARE FEET = 117 CHILDREN The center has obtained an approved fire clearance from Milpitas Fire Department on 7/14/2021 for 88 children. Stepping Stone World Preschool will have six approved classrooms (Rooms 1 through 6). Facility will also have 1 play yard available for preschoolers. The preschool rooms are equipped with varied age appropriate materials and equipment. There are 6 toilets, and 9 sinks available for children use. The staff have a separate bathroom in which will also serve as an isolation bathroom. Individual Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information regarding ADA was provided: US Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301. LPA reviewed 3 staff files and 5 children files on today's date. Staff files contained the appropriate health screening, and immunization records. Children's files contained the appropriate medical assessment and Emergency Identification form. Children are also signed in/out and the form has enough space for full legal signature and records the day and time. Menus are posted for the authorized representative to see.

Disinfectant's and other items which pose a hazard to children are kept inaccessible. Furniture and equipment are kept in good conditions, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. Uncontaminated drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Facility has at least one carbon monoxide, smoke detector and fire extinguisher in operable condition.

All licensing required documents are posted. Zero Tolerance policies were explained. Notice of Site Visit form was provided and posted. The center was found to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. There were no deficiencies cited during this visit.

A license for 88 preschool aged children operating out of Rooms 1 through 6 will be issued today, effective 8/11/2021.

An exit interview was conducted.
