13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Anna Morales conducted an unannounced complaint investigation today and met with Director Mercedes Barrenechea to deliver investigation findings.
On 5/7/25, 5/12/25 and on 5/22/25 ,LPA Anna Morales conducted tours of the preschool for observation, interviewed staff and children. On 5/23/25, LPA conducted interviews with four parents. LPA, also, reviewed Personnel Report and Children's roster.
It is alleged that facility falls out of ratio during nap time. On 5/7/25, and on 5/12/25, LPA observed that the facility was operating in compliance with teacher to children ratio requirement during nap time. Staff who were interviewed, stated that they never fall out of ratio during nap time. Children interviewed stated that there is always a teacher present and are never left alone during school. Parents interviewed stated that they observe staff present, and have no concerns with the ratio.
Based on the interviews conducted with staff and record reviews, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the above allegation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.
NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND DIRECTOR WAS INFORMED TO POST THE NOTICE IN A VISIBLE LOCATION OF THE DAY CARE FOR A PERIOD OF 30 DAYS. APPEAL RIGHTS GIVEN. |
