25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mel Matos met with Maria Rosario Robles, Licensee, for an unannounced annual/random inspection. LPA notes that the Licensee resides in the Plaza Del Rey Mobile Home Park and public parking is located across the street from Licensee's home. LPA also observed Licensee's spouse, and seven day care children (3 infants & 4 preschool) in the home during today's inspection The adults that reside in the home are the Licensee, Licensee's spouse, and Licensee's father. Days and hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Licensee's and Licensee's spouse's CPR and First Aid certifications are current and expire on February 9, 2021.
LPA reviewed a current Child Care Facility Roster and Fire/Disaster drill log during today's inspection. The last fire/disaster drill was completed on April 13, 2019. The Licensee and her spouse completed the required Mandated Reporter training for Child Care Workers on January 26, 2018. LPA reviewed seven children's files and observed current and updated immunization records and the Family Child Care Home Notification of Parents' Rights forms (LIC 995A) in each file.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the home during today's inspection. The Licensee has a working telephone in the home. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. The home is clean, orderly, and safe for the day care children. LPA did not observe any wall heaters inside the home. Off limit areas in the home: master bedroom, master bathroom, one bedroom, and barricaded fireplace (located in the living room). There are no stairs inside the home. Off limit areas outside the home: front driveway and storage shed.
LPA observed a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, and fenced patio area. The Licensee states that she does not have any weapons or pets in the home. LPA observed a swimming pool in the middle of the complex that is appropriately fenced with a self-latching gate. All detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other similar items are inaccessible to children.
