25 | #2 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Marilou Monico, met with Licensee, Himangi Sathaye, for a Required - 1 Year inspection. Licensee's adult helper, licensee's husband, licensee's nine-year-old son, and eight (8) daycare children including one (1) infant and seven (7) preschool age were also present. There are four (4) adults residing in the home: licensee, her husband, and her parents-in-law. The daycare is a two storey, four-bedroom and 1 1/2 bath townhouse. The daycare is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
LPA toured the home inside and out with the Licensee. Off limit areas in the home: kitchen and entire upstairs. Off limit areas outside the home: backyard/patio area. LPA observed sufficient toys and play equipment for the day care children. Bathroom used by children was observed to be clean and in good condition. There were no bodies of water observed. Per Licensee, there are no weapons in the home. LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, barricaded stairs, functioning carbon monoxide detector, working smoke detector, barricaded fireplace, and fenced backyard. Cleaning compounds, detergents, sharp objects, and other similar items were stored inaccessible to children.
LPA discussed with Licensee Assembly Bill (AB) 1207 (Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training) which is required training that began on January 1, 2018 and requires renewal every two years. Mandated Reported Training can be accessed at www.mandatedreporterca.com. Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training (AB1207) expires on May 2, 2023. Licensee has current Pediatric CPR/1st Aid certifications with an expiration date of May 23, 2022.
LPA reviewed five (5) children's files and a staff file. Copy of children's roster was obtained. Fire/disaster drill was conducted on March 26, 2021.
