25 | On 1/29/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melanie Otsuji met with Director, Ebun Evien, for an Unannounced Required 3 Year Inspection. Also present during the inspection were 9 additional staff and 37 infants which includes 16 toddlers in the toddler option rooms. The infant component operates out of 3 classrooms (Rooms 5 through 8A/8B). Facility operates Monday through Friday 7am - 6pm. Facility also has a preschool component (max cap: 96) on site. LPA conducted a health & safety inspection.
The facility has ample age-appropriate materials in the classrooms that were observed to be clean and in good condition. All toxins, cleaning products, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. All cribs used for sleeping were observed to be free of defects, clean and in proper working order. All sleeping materials were properly stored and well maintained. All food is properly stored and labeled. The diapering areas were observed to be clean, properly cushioned, and free from any defects. There are carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, and fully charged fire extinguishers on site.
All food prep areas were observed to be clean and free from defects. Facility provides Lunch and AM/PM snacks. All food that is brought from the children’s home was observed to be properly labeled and stored. All children have access to clean drinking water on site. The outside play yard is fully fenced, clean, and free from hazards with ample amounts of shade for the children. LPA did not observe any harmful or unattended bodies of water in or around the facility.
