Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mayla Mendoza met today 12/16/19 with Director Sundari Ganesan for a REQUIRED visit. LPA toured the facility and play yard for a health and safety inspection. A review of staff records on 12/16/19 indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Physical Plant: There are no bodies of water accessible to children. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children, are kept inaccessible. Medications are kept in a safe place not accessible to children. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or other pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in safe condition, free of hazards. Toilets, and hand washing stations are kept in a safe and sanitary operating condition. Kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas are kept clean and free of litter. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. The children have access to water by way of water jug and cups.Record review: Random children files and staff files were reviewed today at 10:20am. At least one person trained in CPR and Pediatric first aid is present when children are at the facility. Each employee file contained the appropriate health screening. Each children's file reviewed has the proper emergency contact information and medical assessment. The facility has a menu that is posted in a place visible by the child's authorized representative. Fire drill was last conducted on 10/2019.

Mandated reporter and appeal rights, civil penalties, unusual incident reporting and fingerprint requirements was discussed today. Licensee is also being informed of the web address (www.ccld.ca.gov) for downloading child care forms, and the director is encouraged to email ChildCareAdvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov to be included in the Child Care Quarterly Updates distribution list.The director is also reminded that mandated reporter training is required for all staff and is to be renewed every 2 years at www.mandatedreporterca.com.

As a result of this visit, there are no deficiencies cited during today's visit. This report must be available for public review for 3 years. An exit interview was conducted and a site visit notice was posted.
