25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pete Hernandez conducted an unannounced annual inspection at the home today. LPA met with Maria Fomina, Licensee, and explained the nature of today's visit to her. Present in the home was the licensee, her assistant Natalia Molozhava and 9 children, 2 Infants and 7 Preschoolers. Licensee lives in the home with her husband and two minor children. Hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
LPA inspected the inside and outside of the facility. Off-limit areas outside include both sides of the home. The right side is gated and the other is barricaded by a bench. Inside the home the off limits areas are all 3 standard bedrooms, the master bedroom, laundry room and half bathroom, and the garage. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. The backyard is fenced and licensee acknowledges that children may never be left unsupervised in an unfenced area of the yard. LPA didn't observed any bodies of water. Licensee understands that all pools, spas, hot tubs, fish ponds, or similar bodies of water shall be covered or fenced as specified in title 22 regulations to be inaccessible to children. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. Fire drills are conducted every six months and logged. Children's Roster is maintained and current. The Licensee has a working telephone in the home. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. The home is orderly, and safe for the day care children.
LPA observed 1 fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher. There are working smoke & carbon monoxide detectors in the home. The licensee stated that her husband does have a weapon locked away in the garage with the ammunition locked away separately. All detergents, cleaning compounds, other similar items and poisons are in the garage and are inaccessible to children.
